Chill Phases: an annual SXSW event held at Dandy Sounds.
Chill Phases started in 2014 as a low-key gathering—an invitation to bring people together outside the downtown festival chaos. What began as a small hang has grown into an annual tradition; last year, more than 300 people made their way to the studio grounds for a day of live music drifting through the air, art installations tucked into the landscape, friends and friends-of-friends crossing paths, and no real agenda beyond sharing space and time together.
Each year we host a mix of artists we love, feed everyone for free, and keep the energy relaxed and welcoming—with beverages also provided by Radio Coffee and Beer. Chill Phases is about slowing down during one of the busiest weeks of the year and carving out a moment that celebrates community, curiosity, and the original spirit of SXSW.
